Plugins are back in the Framer CMS, and they now live in a dedicated view in the CMS sidebar. After the CMS 3.0 rebuild, Framer collected feedback and reworked how plugins fit into the content workflow, so connecting outside data and managing collections is easier to find and faster to use.
What changed
Plugins now have their own place in the CMS sidebar, which makes them simple to reach while you are working with content rather than buried in a menu. Alongside that, Framer fixed Save button issues in the item overlay and added a small but welcome touch: you can hit Esc to jump straight back to the canvas. More improvements are on the way, including advanced sorting that lets you combine a primary and a secondary rule.
