Auto Translate is the newest addition to Framer's Localization feature, and it takes the manual work out of keeping a multi-language site current. Once enabled, any new or updated content on the canvas is translated across all your active languages, and the same applies to CMS content like blog posts. Your locales stay in sync as you work, rather than falling behind every time you edit.

What Auto Translate does

When you add or change content, Auto Translate pushes it across every enabled locale automatically. You choose the AI model in your locale settings, either picking a specific one or using Framer's recommended option. The translation is optimized for websites, so it preserves links, images, and CMS variables across languages instead of breaking them. For teams that prefer manual oversight, the Localization view keeps a Translate All action so you can update every locale at once or just a selected subset, and you can right-click any layer or page to translate that piece on its own.

Why it matters for real projects

Localized sites usually decay because someone updates the English page and forgets the rest. That leaves visitors reading stale or mismatched content in their language, which quietly erodes trust. Auto Translate removes the lag by making translation part of the normal edit, so a change to your pricing or hero copy reaches every market at the same time. Because it understands website structure, you are not manually re-linking buttons or re-adding images after each translation.

Who it helps

  • Brands expanding into new regions that need consistent messaging everywhere.

  • Content teams publishing blog posts that should appear in every language.

  • Marketers who want to test copy globally without a translation backlog.

How to use it

Turn on Auto Translate in your locale settings, pick a model, and keep editing as usual. For high stakes pages, review the output and lean on the manual Translate All controls where you want a closer look. The goal is simple: edit once, and every locale keeps pace.

We set up localization so it stays accurate without becoming a chore, and we keep the translated experience on brand in every market. If you are taking a Framer site multilingual, Book a discovery call and we will plan a localization setup that runs itself.
