Shopify stores designed and developed, from the theme to the checkout.
Trusted by B2B and premium service brands in 17+ countries.
About this
We design and develop Shopify stores: the theme, the collection and product pages, the apps a store runs on and the settings behind the cart and checkout. For S101 we designed and built the store, its mobile apps, a reward and loyalty integration and a custom inventory web app, and the store went live within 30 days. For Sumo Transfers we built the store with a custom gang sheet builder and integrated Klaviyo and Smile. When the brand needs more than a storefront, Shopify can run the commerce while the brand site runs on Framer or Webflow.
Before you read further
When the store has to sell, not just look the part.
Shopify Design and Development is for brands launching a store or rebuilding one that has outgrown its theme. If you sell a handful of products beside a content-led brand site, a Framer or Webflow site linked to Shopify may suit you better, and we will say so on the first call.
Shopify
How it goes wrong
Most stores go wrong in the setup, not the design. A theme is bought for its demo, then bent around a catalogue it was never made for, and every new need becomes another app.
Product pages lose the details shoppers look for, apps overlap and slow the store down, and nobody is sure which setting changed the checkout.
The honest frame
We start from your catalogue, your shipping and your markets, then choose the theme, sections and apps to fit them, and write custom code only where an app will not do. See how that went for S101 and Sumo Transfers, and how we look after a store once it is live.
Why Urest
Why build your store with us?
Only the things we can verify.
Live in 30 days
We designed and developed the S101 Shopify store and launched it within 30 days. With product uploads, QA and the mobile apps, the project took 45 days.
More than a storefront
For S101 we also built the mobile apps for the store, integrated a reward and loyalty app and coded a custom web app for inventory and supply management.
Builders and integrations
For Sumo Transfers we built the Shopify store with a custom gang sheet builder and integrated Klaviyo for email and Smile for loyalty and rewards.
Stores we look after
We maintain the Amuze Fragrance Shopify store, handle its branding and generated its product images.
Ads from the same team
We run Meta ads for Amuze Fragrance and Sumo Transfers, so a store and its campaigns can be planned together.
Certified Framer Studio
When the brand site should sit beside the store, we build it on Framer, where we are a Certified Framer studio, or on Webflow.
Integrations and apps
What a store can run on.
What we set up beside the theme. The tools named are examples: we choose them with you for each store.
Email and SMS automation
Welcome, abandoned cart and post-purchase flows through a platform such as Klaviyo. We integrated Klaviyo into the Sumo Transfers store.
Loyalty and rewards
Points, referrals and VIP tiers through an app such as Smile.io. We integrated Smile for Sumo Transfers and a reward and loyalty app for S101.
Mobile apps for the store
An iOS and Android app for the store, made with an app builder such as Shopney or coded custom. We built the mobile apps for the S101 store.
Custom product builders
Builders that let customers make their own product, such as a gang sheet builder. We set one up on the Sumo Transfers store.
Reviews and subscriptions
Product reviews collected after purchase and subscribe-and-save options for repeat orders can be added through apps that fit the store.
Several currencies and languages
Shopify Markets can give each country you sell to its own prices, currency, language and domain, all from one store.
Our Shopify process
Four stages, catalogue first.
We plan the store around your products before we design it, then build, test and launch. How long it takes depends on the catalogue, the apps and the integrations, so we agree the timeline after the store plan.
Step 01
Discovery and store plan
We review your products, variants and collections, your shipping, payments and the markets you sell in, and the apps and systems the store has to work with.
Outputs
- store plan
- collection structure
- app and integration list
Step 02
Design
We design the home, collection, product and cart pages around how your customers shop: filters, variants, pack sizes, delivery details and reviews, on desktop and phone.
Outputs
- page designs
- product page template
- mobile layouts
Step 03
Build and integrations
We build the theme on Online Store 2.0 sections and blocks, so pages can be edited without code, set up products, collections and checkout settings, connect the apps and write custom code where an app will not do.
Outputs
- theme build
- store setup
- app integrations
Step 04
QA and launch
We test the store on real devices, place test orders through the checkout, check tracking and any redirects from an old store, then launch and hand over.
Outputs
- QA report
- launch
- handover

Common questions
Questions about Shopify design and development.
Everything teams usually ask before the first call.
Do you design and build Shopify stores?
Yes. We design and develop Shopify stores: the theme, the home, collection, product and cart pages, the store setup and the apps it needs. For S101, an online grocery store in New Jersey, we designed and developed the store and launched it within 30 days, built its mobile apps, integrated a reward and loyalty app and coded a custom web app for inventory and supply management. For Sumo Transfers we built the store with a custom gang sheet builder and integrated Klaviyo and Smile.
How long does it take to build a Shopify store?
It depends on the catalogue, the apps and the integrations, so we agree the timeline after the store plan. As a reference, we launched the S101 store within 30 days, and the whole project, with product uploads, QA and the mobile apps, took 45 days.
Should we use a Shopify theme or a custom theme?
Most stores start best on a well-built theme adapted to the brand, because Online Store 2.0 themes use sections and blocks that can be edited without code. A custom theme makes sense when the catalogue, the product pages or the brand need layouts no theme offers. We recommend one after looking at your products and how customers buy them.
Can our brand site run on Framer or Webflow with a Shopify store?
Yes. Shopify can run the products, cart and checkout while the brand site runs on Framer or Webflow, linking to the store or showing products through Shopify's Buy Button or Storefront API. It suits brands whose site is mostly story and content with a focused catalogue. With a large catalogue, most pages are usually better kept in the store itself.
Can the Shopify checkout be customised?
Within what Shopify allows. The checkout is hosted by Shopify, so its look is set through the checkout settings and branding, and further changes go through checkout extensions and apps. Some extension features are only available on Shopify Plus, so we check what your plan permits before we design around it.
Can one Shopify store sell in several countries and currencies?
Yes. Shopify Markets lets one store sell in several countries with local currencies, languages, domains or subfolders, and prices per market. We plan the markets with you and check that shipping, duties and payment methods work in each one.
Do we need a headless Shopify store?
Usually not. A headless store keeps Shopify for products, cart and checkout and builds the storefront separately, for example with Hydrogen, Shopify's React framework, or another frontend on the Storefront API. It gives full design freedom but costs more to build and maintain, so for most stores a well-built theme is the better choice.
Can you look after the store after launch?
Yes. We maintain the Amuze Fragrance Shopify store, which we did not build, and handle its branding, product images and Meta ads. Ongoing store care runs through our website maintenance service.
